TRASHY

Depop is a clothing resale app that makes being on-trend a circular practice. However, since starting as one of the first apps of its kind in 2011, Depop now has a lot of competition. Now they’re looking for a way to be the talk of the town again.

The “Trashy” campaign features expensive luxury posed against the cheap and unconventional to celebrate the resourcefulness of the community.

Over the course of the campaign, Depop will take a guerilla approach to the classic Depop drops. Collaborating with Top Sellers, teasers and hints will be posted through the city and Depops platforms, alluding to real luxury clothing items appearing around the London. Near luxury stores, the rare, expensive items will appear in trashy packaging, ready for keen-eyed Depop followers to grab up. Depop will not only entice new users to the app, but reward the existing community for their commitment to making the trashy classy.
